Volunteer Registration
Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to volunteer without a supervising adult. Children, ages 12 and up are welcome to volunteer, but must be accompanied by an adult, 18 years of age or older. A Minor release form is required for anyone under the age of 18.

Volunteer Positions Overview
disABILITYsa's AccessAbility fest relies on volunteers to create a welcoming, inclusive experience for thousands of guests in Travis Park and at the conference. Whether you enjoy working behind the scenes, greeting people, supporting families, collecting data, or using specialized skills, there’s a place, purpose, and role for YOU.
Event Set-Up & Tear-Down
Help us transform Travis Park and conference spaces into an accessible, engaging festival environment. Set‑up volunteers unload vehicles, move tables and tents, place signage, and prepare exhibitor and activity areas before guests arrive. Tear‑down teams support vendors with packing, load equipment, and restore the park and conference rooms after the event.
March, Festival, & Conference Support
Support the abilitySTRONG March and AccessAbility Conference by welcoming participants, checking in registrants, handing out materials, and directing guests to the right locations. Volunteers may assist with water stations and cheer teams along the march route, help carry banners, provide conference check‑in, assist in childcare, offer session support, or help with lunch service to keep things running smoothly.
Guest Experience & Information
Be a friendly face for guests throughout the day. Guest experience volunteers greet attendees at entrances, provide wristbands and programs, answer questions, offer wayfinding, and guide people to topic areas and exhibitor zones. “Follow Me” hosts carry signs to help guests locate resources, while information table volunteers operate as event HQ, lost‑and‑found, and survey collection points.
Accessibility & Inclusion Support
Help ensure guests of all ages and abilities can participate comfortably. Volunteers may assist in the sensory play area by supporting understanding and respectful use of the sensory room, staff the Mobile Changing Unit (with additional training and background checks), or serve as Access Ambassadors who watch for access needs and connect guests to accommodations and supports.
Hospitality & Exhibitor Support
Keep volunteers and exhibitors energized. Hospitality hosts monitor volunteer headquarters, manage food and beverages, and help coordinate refreshments for vendors. Exhibitor assistants check on booths, offer water and brief breaks, help problem‑solve, and support exhibitors so they can stay focused on serving guests.
Parking, Shuttles & Logistics
Parking and shuttle volunteers help guests arrive and depart safely by monitoring shuttle routes, directing traffic, identifying accessible entrances, and managing signage. Floaters rotate where needed—supporting greeters, survey teams, and other positions to ensure everyone can take breaks and that event operations remain smooth.
Photography & Media
Use your photography skills to capture the energy and impact of AccessAbility fest, the abilitySTRONG March, and conference sessions. Volunteers with their own cameras help document attendees, exhibitors, performers, and key moments, then share photos with the event team after the day.
Merchandise & Special Tables
Support awareness and fundraising at the merchandise booth by assisting with sales, operating heat-transfer equipment for t‑shirts, and keeping display items organized. Volunteers may also staff special information tables, such as Fiesta Especial, helping share program details and celebration opportunities with guests.
