Representative Jose MenendezDistrict 124
Jose has for the past several sessions been the author of a number of bills and other initiatives that impact persons with special needs or are at risk because of their physical or mental development situation. This includes a lot of work with Haven for Hope, Center for HealthCare Services, and Gordon Hartman and Morgan’s Wonderland, as well as several of the disability advocacy groups that work with us in Austin. His goal is to be the “ elected lobbyist” if you will in the legislature for those with disabilities and special needs. Candace Duval--CongressDistrict 21
Candace has been very active for making a commitment to her district and providing support to those whose civil liberties are at risk. She herself has overcome a challenging learning disability, dyslexia, and knows the importance of a good education. Representative John V. GarzaDistrict 117
Rep. Garza has strong roots in Southwest Bexar County and is known for fighting for what is best for the families in his district. He has authored and co-authored bills providing assistance to disabled veterans, elderly, and other disabled individuals. Overall, he believes in having a strong family and is willing to keep on fighting for them.
