We are so excited to add two new members to the Planning Team!  Joel Williams with the San Antonio Area Foundation will be joining our Entertainment committee seeking out individuals with and groups who include individuals with disabilities to perform at AccessAbility Fest.  We also welcome Debi Silva, with KLRN, who brings to the table a personal passion for celebrating the abilities of individuals with disabilities along with some fresh new ideas for Entertainment, Mascots and perhaps even a few activities.

It gives us great pride and pleasure to announce that the 2012 award nominations are now open!  Do you know an individual, family or company that has made an impression on you for their significant impact on individuals with disabilities? 

We'd love to help you recognize them at this year's event with the 2nd Annual AccessAbility in Action award given with gratitude by Texas Public Radio and disABILITYsa.org.  Please take a moment and look at the criteria, think about who you would like to honor and fill out the nomination form today!

The deadline for nominations is August 31st, 2012.  A panel of judges will evaluate the nominations to select the 2012 recipient.

Well, it's a new day for AccessAbility Fest as we bring our website online.  Great appreciation to disABILITYsa.org for hosting the AccessAbility Fest content for the last five years.  We're truly excited to have a forum for broader expression and recognition for all that AFest is!
