Volunteer Task Descriptions
Chat Room Moderator: A chat room moderator will help make sure that anyone entering the chat room feels welcome and encourage communication between participants. The more engaged you get in the chat room, the more “chatter” and communication you will help to create! Your biggest job will be sure to make sure that all those chatting are respectful of each other.
Tract Facilitators: Ensure the zooms are set up and presenters are ready to go. Each tract session will last approximately 45 minutes to 1.5 hours.
Session Moderators: Monitoring the chat feature during the presentation to ensure the presenter(s) is/are aware of the questions that are coming in from the attendees. Each presentation will last approximately 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. Session Moderators need a good internet connection (or be willing to come into our office), have a laptop with a camera & mic, be comfortable making introductions of our presenters, and comfortable with technology. Training prior to the virtual AccessAbility fest will be arranged for Zoom and Whova training and familiarity.
The session moderators can be committed to one or more sessions. They should have people skills and be on the outspoken side so that they are able to jump into a presentation during a pause in order to interject the pending questions.
Video Creators: Collect photos of shoebox floats that are submitted throughout the day and stringing them together in a video presentation that will ultimately become our 2020 abilitySTRONG Virtual shoebox parade. #SuperFun. Again, training will be made available on the software and production prior to the 3rd of Oct.
